    (January 19, 1939-May 15, 2010)
    Born in Oak Brook, Illinois
    Enforcer for the Chicago mob
Convicted of assault, sentenced to probation (1962)
Served 11 years for organizing a series of home invasion robberies (1978-89)
    Convicted of extortion (1991)
Convicted of murder, sentenced to 100 to 300 years in prison (1997)
Died at the Hill Correctional Center in Galesburg, Illinois
His first hit was against his uncle, Samuel 'Sambo' Cesario, for marrying the girlfriend of an imprisoned mobster.
He was suspected of 13 to 20 murders, but went to trial for only one, the killing of Teamster William Logan.
He avoided conviction by paying Judge Frank Wilson a $10,000 bribe (1977).
Only days after his acquittal, he took part in the murder of Joseph Theo.
His father Louis allegedly beat him every day (except for a four-year stretch when Louis was in prison).
His wife Ruth and four stepchildren said he was a kind and loving husband and father.
After his lawyer admitted to bribing Judge Wilson, he was re-indicted for the murder of Logan (1993).
A court ruled that this did not violate the protection against double-jeopardy, since the bribe meant that Aleman was never in jeopardy at the original trial.
His conviction at the retrial marked the first time a mob hitman had been found guilty in Chicago (1997).
