Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He played on six different teams during his career.
He was traded to Washington after the Kings felt he was not living up to his potential, in what would be considered one of many blunders made by the franchise (1981).
He was hated by Leafs fans, who used him as a scapegoat for the franchise's failures during his tenure with the team.
The Leafs felt he was washed up and traded him to the Red Wings for nothing in return (1997).
Some hockey pundits questioned his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame as a result of his lack of individual awards.
He was famous for placing the puck on the end of his stick and tossing it in the air above opposing players to clear the goal line.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a standout defenseman during his stint with Peterborough of the Ontario Hockey League.
He holds the NHL record for most assists and points scored by a rookie defenseman.
He tied Paul Coffey for most short-handed goals scored by a defenseman in the Stanley Cup Playoffs (1998).
Proving he wasn't washed up, he was an integral part of both of the Red Wings Stanley Cup winning teams in the 1990's.
He is the only player to be on both back-to-back Stanley Cup championship teams in the 1990's.
