    (March 29, 1906-March 10, 1977)
Birth name was Edward George Power Biggs
    Resided in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Specialized in music of Bach, Handel, Pachelbel, Buxtehude and other baroque composers
Despite having an aggressive-sounding name, he had a mild personality.
He refused to play on electric instruments.
He spent years (and a lot of money) trying to build a keyboard version of a bizarre musical instrument called the glass harmonica, but it was a failure.
He is quoted as saying ‘the wonderful old paaah and chaah became just plain aaah’ (whatever that means).
He suffered from arthritis, which ended his career.
He wrote his own liner notes for his albums.
He helped revive interest in pre-19th century music.
He was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
One writer said his name sounds like he could ‘defeat 5,200 samurai with a tuning fork’ or ‘make Chuck Norris weep like a schoolgirl.’
