The Resume
(September 22, 1933- )
Born in Fort Worth, Texas
Former Texas oil zillionaire
Attempted to kill his wife and did kill her boyfriend and her daughter during a vicious divorce battle
Hired an undercover policeman to kill his wife and the judge for the divorce trial
Found innocent of all charges
Why he might be annoying
When he killed his wife's daughter and boyfriend, he wounded his wife and a neighbor and tried to shoot another neighbor. All the survivors identified him as the shooter; he had no alibi, but was found not guilty.
Two years later with the divorce still dragging on, he was caught on tape hiring an undercover policeman to kill his wife and the divorce trial judge and congratulating the supposed hit man for job well done when shown a fake picture of the judge's corpse.
When told about the shooting of his wife and the others, he rolled over and went back to sleep.
He later became a televangelist.
Why he might not be annoying
His oil business later went broke, leading him to become a televangelist.
Whatever the legal system in the afterlife is like, he isn't going to escape justice there.
He was the inspiration for the character J. R. Ewing on the television show Dallas.
He showed that California doesn't have a monopoly on dumb juries.
The families of his victims won a wrongful death lawsuit against him.
