    He used the same voice for all of his animated characters.
    He usually lent his voice to overweight characters.
    He unsuccessfully tried to spin off his Carlton character with his own show, even though he had no face time on 'Rhoda.'
    His name is sometimes confused with Lorenzo Lamas.
    He took the name 'Lorenzo' for spiritual reasons.
    He had one of the most famous and unique cartoon voices.
    He attended the University of Minnesota.
    He co-wrote the 'Bob Newhart Show' theme with his wife Henrietta.
    He wrote for three successful sitcoms in the 1970's.
    He was not involved in the big-screen version of 'Garfield' (2004).
