The Resume

    (October 27, 1972- )
    Born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Pitcher for the Minnesota Twins (1995-2006)
Career record was 148–139 over 12 seasons

Why he might be annoying:

He spent the bulk of his career on poor and mediocre Twins teams.
Despite being a consistent pitcher, he only had one All-Star appearance in his career.
He wasn't considered a top prospect in the Twins organization, prior to making his Major League debut.
He had a tendency to surrender home runs, despite the fact he was considered a reliable control pitcher.
The video game 'Sega Sports World Series Baseball II' used footage of him surrendering home runs in their clips as a way to mock him.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the third player in Major League Baseball history to record 10 wins in 10 consecutive starts.
He averaged 12 wins and 32 starts a season during the Twins lean years.
He recorded a 20 win season during his third season as the ace of the Twins rotation (1997).
He was considered a valuable leader in the clubhouse.
He was loyal to the Twins franchise and didn't ask for a trade, despite being on a poor roster and the team faced with the possibility of being contracted.
