Why he might be annoying:

    He mostly played backup for starters Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart.
    During his tenure at USC, he completed 19 of 33 passes for 192 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception.
    He is overshadowed by Tom Brady.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was the starting first baseman on the Northridge, California baseball team that reached the finals of the 1994 Little League World Series.
    Even though Cassel had very little exposure, he managed to be drafted by the Patriots.
    He replaced an injured Tom Brady in the 2008 season opener.
    He became the first quarterback in franchise history to have consecutive games with more than 400 passing yards.
    His older brother Jack is a pitcher in the Major Leagues.
