Voting for Kamala Harris has been suspended for the week due to inclusion in Last Week's Top 25 Most or Least Annoying.

U.S. Vice President

The Resume

    (October 20, 1964- )
    Born in Oakland, California
    Kamala Devi Harris
    Democrat
Admitted to the California bar in 1990
    32nd Attorney General of California (2011-January 3, 2017)
Former District Attorney of San Francisco (2004-2010)
Elected Senator from California (assumed office January 3, 2017)
Elected Vice President of the United States (November 5, 2020)

Why she might be annoying:

She admitted to driving around with a 'Jesse Jackson for President' bumper sticker in the '80s.
Thanks to her middle name, she inevitably turns up in Google searches for Chuck Connors' second wife, Kamala Devi.
She first came to national attention, in 2013, on the receiving end of a compliment from President Obama at a DNC fundraiser, in which he referred to her as 'by far the best-looking attorney general in the country.'
The uproar following the comment was severe enough to warrant an apology on Obama's behalf from Press Secretary Jay Carney, who reported that the President had called her to apologize.
The uproar over the comment came within a day of First Lady Michelle Obama making a slip-up of her own in which she referred to herself as a 'single mom.' Gossip emerged claiming that the President was cheating on Michelle with Kamala.
She lost a lawsuit against Americans for Prosperity after a US District Court ruled her demands for the Foundation to hand over its list of members and supporters to be unconstitutional (Apr. 21, 2016).
She came under fire for ordering the raid of Center for Medical Progress head David Daleiden's (who released several videos pertaining to Planned Parenthood's alleged selling of fetal tissue) home.
When it was reported that several unreleased video files had been lifted by Harris' officers, Daleiden feigned a lack of surprise, calling her a 'bought-and-paid-for-AG.'
She has all but made The Black Lives Matter Movement a footleg in her national platform while pursuing a US Senate seat frequently injecting race into her public statements.
She holds an antagonistic relationship with police unions dating back to her refusal to pursue the death penalty for the murderer of a 29-year-old cop in 2004.
At the memorial service for the slain officer, Sen. Dianne Feinstein took the podium to speak and made mention of the killer deserving the death penalty. Thousands of officers in attendance burst into applause while Harris sat stoically in the audience.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She is of Jamaican-Indian background.
Her name means 'lotus flower' in the Sanskrit language.
She specialized in prosecuting sexual predators of children early in her career.
She was named by the Los Angeles Daily Journal as one of the top 100 best lawyers in California.
She has repeatedly been floated as a possible Supreme Court nominee on the basis that seats have become available.
She was also seen as a prime contender for the US Attorney General position when Eric Holder resigned in 2014., although Loretta Lynch was eventually chosen.
Feminist outrage over the President's more-or-less innocent comment made it sound as though he were cat-calling a random woman on the street.
In reality, the two had a relation going back to as early as 2007, when she publicly backed his Presidential bid while serving as San Francisco's District Attorney (he later endorsed her for the state AG position in 2010).
If she wins her bid for the US Senate, she will be the first female African-American Senator since Carol Moseley Braun (and only the second overall).
