    Appeared on Broadway in 'New Faces of 1943' (1942-43), 'On the Town' (1944-46), 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' (1949-51), 'Bells Are Ringing' (1956-59) and 'Sail Away' (1961-62)
    She had an undeveloped chin as a result of falling off a swing when she was nine.
    She was typecast: 'I was signed for one bird-brain role after another.'
    She never learned to drive, so her husband had to drive her to the 'Bewitched' set.
    She never got to appreciate winning an Emmy, since it was awarded posthumously.
    She impressed Gene Kelly enough that she was the only Broadway cast member from 'On The Town' asked to reprise her role in the film version.
    She was a master of the double-take.
    She continued working despite terminal ovarian cancer.
    She said, 'I have never been beautiful, but I have been blessed with a rich career and the love of two fine men.'
