Model

The Resume

    (July 16, 1959- )
    Born in Santa Monica, California
    Sherri Lynn Stoner
Body model for Ariel in 'The Little Mermaid' (1989)
Later wrote and produced the popular cartoons, 'Tiny Toon Adventures' (1990-1992) and 'Animaniacs' (1993-1998)
Co-wrote scripts for 'Casper,' 'My Favorite Martian,' 'The Spooktacular Adventures of Casper,' 'Family Dog,' '1001 Nights,' 'Pinky and the Brain,' and 'The 7D'
Later provided reference modeling work for the character of Belle in Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' (1991)

Why she might be annoying:

    She was quirky.
Ariel's 'body model' made a little movie the year prior called 'Casual Sex.'
Fans regularly point out that she didn't 'look all that much like the Ariel character' (animators apparently also drew inspiration from Jodi Benson and Alyssa Milano).
She added a weird subplot into the 'My Favorite Martian' reboot where a space probe is powered by the ashes of the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia.
Its not clear whether Belle's habit of brushing the wayward strand of hair away from her face came from one of Stoner's modelling sessions of from a Paige O'Hara recording session.
For some reason, while an abundance of footage can be found of her doing live-modeling for Ariel, there's almost no footage of her for 'Beauty' (which may indicate that her involvement was comparably more limited).

Why she might not be annoying:

She performed with the 'Groundlings' improvisational troupe.
She guest-starred on a Nostalgia Critic 'Animaniacs'-themed podcast.
She imitated Sally Jessy Raphael in one episode of Animaniacs.
She had a recurring role as Rachel Brown Oleson in the 9th season of Little House on the Prairie (and would appear in the 1990s 'Little House' TV movie as well).
Her habits of biting her lip and playing with her long hair both were qualities that were adapted into Glen Keane's animation design for Ariel.
Actually, she more closely resembled Ariel's (way hotter) 'evil twin,' Vanessa, whom she did also body modeling for.
She won two Emmy awards for Outstanding Animated Program as a producer for 'Tiny Toon Adventures' (1991; 1993).
She is best known to Animaniac fanatics as the voice of Slappy the Squirrel; a washed-up Vaudevillian misanthrope prone to slapstick.
