Apprentice: Martha Stewart
Please vote to return to collections (Voting Results will appear on Right Sidebar).
TV Series
    (September 21, 2005-December 21, 2005)
    NBC
    Hosted by Martha Stewart
Viceroys: Alexis Stewart and Charles Koppelman
    Created by Mark Burnett
Matchstick takes on Primarius for an apprenticeship at Omnimedia
Goals similar to the original Apprentice:
16 players are divided into two teams
Each team chooses a project manager (team leader) for the team
The winning team gets a reward
The project manager (team leader) of the losing team selects other members of the losing team to meet with Martha and her viceroys
Each of them pleads why they should continue; eventually Martha eliminates one of them
The applicants usually behaved as seen from the parent show: like sugar-overdosed grade-schoolers.
In four seasons of the Trump series, he had never done what Martha did in just the third episode: override a Project Manager and remove someone from the winning team (Shawn)!
Because the ratings for the show were lousy, publicists went on record as saying there were never any plans for other seasons of Apprentice: Martha Stewart (trying to save face, perhaps?).
Martha’s own daughter Alexis complained she had no idea what she was expected to do.
It didn’t even turn out to be good train wreck entertainment.
There were six male applicants and ten female applicants.
The premise is the same as its begetter: land a coveted position somewhere in the empire.
However, teams are sometimes given different tasks and goals within the same episode.
The logo is exactly the same as the original, with one exception: a female silhouette.
Although they served the exact same functions, the Boardroom was replaced by a Conference Room and the ‘suite’ was replaced by a ‘loft.’
The winning applicant also gets a six-figure salary (read, in the hundred thousands).
