After ‘Gremlins 2,’ he declared he was through playing villains. His resolve apparently weakened, judging from the appearance of the Riddler and Lionel Luther (not to mention the Devil) on his later resume..
He incorporates humor when playing villains: ‘Audiences enjoy watching a certain amount of glee. It provides a sort of release to see a character let out all the stops.’
He won the Tony for Best Featured Actor in a Play for ‘Love! Valour! Compassion!’
He performed in a Shakespeare in the Park production of ‘Much Ado About Nothing.’
He raised funds for the Alzheimer’s Association, inspired by his father’s experience with Alzheimer’s disease.
