Why Happy Endings might be annoying:

    It is another 'Friends' knockoff!
The series relied heavily on slapstick humor.
The series initially focused on Alex and Dave's breakup.
However, the series abandoned that focal point to focus more on the six friends.
It probably also inspired FOX to debut 'New Girl,' a comedy with strikingly similar themes.
Alex Sepinwall of 'Hitflix' slammed the series upon its premiere, saying: 'It's all too frantic, too full of obnoxious people contorting themselves into stupid lies in the service of jokes that never quite land.'

Why Happy Endings might not be annoying:

It's executive produced by the same team as 'Arrested Development.'
It successfully retained a good portion of the 'Modern Family' audience during its first season.
It featured many hilarious pop culture references.
As the series progressed, it found critical praise often, finding itself on several year-end lists of Top 10 television shows.
