    After the original Shondells disbanded, Tommy James kept the same name for his new group.
    They declined to play at the original Woodstock Festival.
    Their song ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ was covered by teen pop singer Tiffany.
    Though they wrote many songs, they were criticized for not writing all of their own music.
    They were one of the first bands to use synthesizers in their music.
    Hubert Humphrey wrote the liner notes to their ‘Crimson & Clover’ album.
    The cover for their album ‘It’s Only Love’ was the first professional photo shoot for Linda Eastman McCartney.
    Their songs were covered by such artists as Billy Idol and Joan Jett.
