    He had a short stature and even shorter temper.
    He got his nickname due to a large bump on the back of his head.
    He was a bootlegger, drug dealer and numbers runner.
    He acted as lover and chief enforcer to Harlem numbers queenpin Madame Stephanie St. Clair.
    He mentored Frank Lucas.
    During his stint in Alcatraz Prison, he allegedly engineered the 1963 escape of a trio of fellow prisoners whose whereabouts remain unknown as of 2010.
    He was a very bright child, skipping 2 grades in school.
    He became a revered figure in Harlem because he fought against Dutch Schultz, who intimidated black residents, and cutting deals with Lucky Luciano.
    He acted generously towards others in Harlem, donating money and gifts to those in need.
    He rubbed elbows with celebrities such as Lena Horne and Billie Holiday.
    He was always impeccably dressed.
    He was name-checked in a rap by Lupe Fiasco and an episode of The Wire.
