TV Network
    (September 1, 1994- )
Owned by AMC Networks (a subsidiary of Cablevision)
24-hour channel broadcasting independent films, B-movies, cult TV series, and other niche programming
Probably 95% of mainstream America has never seen or heard of the majority of films shown on this network.
The network began to produce reality TV programming in the late 2000's.
In 2010, the channel began utilizing commercial breaks during their programming, sparking outrage and controversy.
They were slated to produce a theatrical-length movie version of 'Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter,' but the negotiations for the proposed movie and series fell through.
They show little-seen, but often high quality films.
They always show films uncut and uncensored.
Cult television series such as 'Arrested Development,' 'Freaks and Geeks,' and 'My So Called Life' have been televised.
Every year, the network, in conjunction with Film Independent Los Angeles, holds its annual awards gala saluting the art of independent filmmaking.
