Why they might be annoying:

Original member Jane Eugene sported a Jheri curl back in the 1980s.
There were rumors that their music videos back in the 1980s were very cheap.
They lip synced most of their material during live performances in the 1980s. (Especially on 'Top of the Pops').
Jane Eugene and Steve Nichol left the band in 1989, and were replaced by new members Linda Carriere and Sunay Suleyman, which brought an end to the band's popular phase.
They share their name with a post-punk/noise rock band from Aarhus, Denmark.
Jane Eugene wore a lot of weird looking hats in her heyday.
They were originally called 'Loose End', but the band members added the "s" at the end, so that people would know they were a 3 member band, and not a two-bit and small R&B trio. (Like there's any difference?)

Why they might not be annoying:

All original three members (Carl McIntosh, Jane Eugene and Steve Nichol) had powerful singing voices.
Their style and genre of music blended blues, post-disco, soul, funk, reggae, R&B and New jack swing.
They had a lot of soul, despite being from London, England.
Their 1986 hit song 'Stay A Little While, Child', was covered by Mariah Carey, which added more fame to their name. (Thanks, Mariah.)
Their style and sound at their peak in the 80's was similar to Soul II Soul's style.
Carl McIntosh continued on with the band with new members.
Carl has since produced several other artists' work, most notably for Soul II Soul's Caron Wheeler.
They were the first British band to top Billboard's R&B singles chart.
