    He dropped out of Trinity College.
    After dropping out from Trinity College, he attempted to study law at Middle Temple, where he would also drop out.
    He lost most of his inheritance to gambling and bad investments.
    He had four aliases/pen names.
    He died on Christmas Eve.
    His father died while he was young.
    His novel 'Vanity Fair' was turned into a movie/TV miniseries 12 times, including three times between the years of 1911 and 1916.
    Stanley Kubrick turned his novel 'The Luck of Barry Lyndon' into a movie, re-titled 'Barry Lyndon.'
    In his prime, he was seen as being superior to Charles Dickens.
    His wife, Isabella, suffered from a mental breakdown, which she never fully recovered from (1940).
    His oldest daughter, Anne, also became a writer.
    He was a sought-after lecturer in Europe throughout the 1840's.
