Why he might be annoying:

When he first tried to approach the Beatles, John brushed him off, telling him to talk to Stu Sutcliffe, ‘the artist ‘round here.’
After the Beatles broke up, there were rumors they would reform as ‘the Ladders’ with Voormann replacing Paul on bass; the closest this came to reality was when John, George and Klaus played on Ringo’s solo song ‘I’m the Greatest.’
He had been playing for over four decades before he recorded his first solo album, ‘A Sideman’s Journey’ (2009).
A ‘deluxe’ edition of his album is available through his website for a whopping €190.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was left ‘speechless’ when he first heard the Beatles performing.
He remained friends with Astrid Kircherr after she dumped him for Stu Sutcliffe.
He won a Grammy for designing the cover of the Beatles’ album ‘Revolver.’
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr made guest appearances on ‘A Sideman’s Journey.’
He gave most of his royalties from ‘A Sideman’s Journey’ to a charity that provides clean water on Lakota Sioux reservations.
