    One thing that first gave them attention in the media was when a teenager wore a shirt of theirs with a cow, smoking and saying, 'Cool as Fuck,' causing the teenager to get arrested.
    Although having more single success than the others, they're the least known Madchester band.

    Like The Undertones, John Peel discovered them and played them on his radio show, eventually giving them a huge UK hit.
    One of their roadies was Noel Gallagher, pre-Oasis fame.
    In 2001, they reconciled and their original line-up went on tour selling out most of their concerts.
    They're known as a 'singles band' for having the majority of songs released as singles and being big hits.
