    The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is one of the country's largest venues for Shakespeare plays.
    It is where the National Fish and Wildlife Forensics Laboratory is located.
    The Varsity Theatre hosts the Ashland Independent Film Festival every April.
    Lithia Park was designed by horticulturist John McLaren, one of the men behind San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.
    Some people from nearby northern California like to come here to shop.
    It is the starting location of the Bear Creek Greenway for biking and hiking.
    Skiing is abundant at nearby Mount Ashland.
