    Dimitri Coats (vocals/guitar)
    Melanie Campbell (bass)

Albums include 'Fall of the Plastic Empire' & 'Leave No Ashes'

Why they might be annoying:

Dimitri and Melanie dropped out of college to travel the country, and look for the ideal place to start a band.
Their music is eerie and grim.
    Dimitri writes really dark lyrics.
In one of their songs they make a pointless reference to the Vietnam War.

Why they might not be annoying:

They have a unique sound, with loud 70s-like guitar riffs.
    They performed at Lollapalooza 2003.
Their 2003 album 'Leave No Ashes' was produced by George Drakoulious, who had also produced albums for Tom Petty and The Black Crowes.
Many people began to notice them after an impressive performance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
They were hand-picked by Audioslave to go on tour with them.
