The Resume

    Born in Illinois
    Alexi Jo McCammond
    NBC and MSNBC contributor
    Reporter for Axios (2017- )
    Contributor for PBS' Washington Week
Resigned from her position as Teen Vogue Editor after offensive tweets surfaced (March 2021)

Why she might be annoying:

She engaged in a relationship with a Biden campaign worker while covering the 2020 election, leading to questions of her objectivity.
She got into it with Charles Barkley after he allegedly joked 'I don't hit women but if I did I'd hit you' (Barkley later apologized).
After she was selected for the Editor position at Teen Vogue, attention was drawn to questionably racist (mainly towards Asians) and homophobic tweets she wrote as a teenager.
She apologized but was forced to resign after Ulta Beauty announced a $1 million ad boycott against Teen Vogue (it didn't help her that the tweets resurfaced just as a spike in anti-Asian hate crimes was becoming a national story).

Why she might not be annoying:

She was on 2020's Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
She was the first member of her family to graduate college.
Barkley's threatening her was allegedly in response to her pointing out a statement of his as contradictory regarding Deval Patrick following a Presidential debate.
She received the 2019 Emerging Journalist Award from the National Association of Black Journalists.
Anna Wintour went to bat unsuccessfully to keep her on as Teen Vogue Editor.
Her forced resignation proves the senselessness of cancel culture (she was a teenager for crying out loud!)
