    He pitched a complete game shutout in his third Major League game (1971).
    He put on a dominant performance in the 1981 NLCS,.earning MVP honors.
    He was known for throwing a fast knuckle curve pitch, which many hitters struggled against.
    He is fluent in Spanish, which served as an asset during his tenure as a pitching coach.
    He earned a World Series ring with the Dodgers (1981).
