Contestants answer trivia questions on a wide range of topics from six categories with five questions each

Game twist: Contestants are given the answers but must respond with the proper question.
Contestants have to answer in the form of a question or they won't get the money for answering it correctly.
Many +questions are extremely tough and nobody should know the answers (or should I say 'questions') in the first place.
Compared to other game shows, this one pays out pretty low, even though its harder than most.
Before 1985, contestants could ring in at anytime to give a response. Now they must wait until Alex Trebek is done reading the question.
They took off the rule that says you can only make five winning appearances on the show before retiring (September 2003).
As a result, Ken Jennings currently holds all winning records on the show.
There are a shit load of board games and computer games based off its concept (almost every major gaming system has a Jeopardy! game).
Some of its answers to questions are blatant product placement.
It gave us 'Celebrity Jeopardy' and as a result, SNL's parody of 'Celebrity Jeopardy.'
Five shows are taped on Monday and five shows are taped on Tuesday, giving itself two weeks of shows each week.
It is the top quiz show in the country.
It brought back the quiz show genre after the scandals involving the shows in the early 1960's killed them for awhile.
It gives brainiacs with a lot of useless knowledge some money.
It made Ken Jennings an icon.
An episode of Cheers featured Jeopardy (1990).
