Why he might be annoying:

He was referred to as 'Little Al.'
After his divorce, he ended up living in an RV on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's infield.
He was arrested after allegedly striking his girlfriend while returning from a strip club, then leaving her by the side of the road (2002).
He was arrested for driving under the influence, misdemeanor hit and run, and failure to report an accident (2007).
He was arrested for DUI and reckless driving after drag racing his SUV at over 100 mph (2011).
He made blackmail payments to the head of a prostitution ring to prevent the release of a 'compromising' videotape (2008).

Why he might not be annoying:

He said, 'I've always been proud of my father to the point that I'm really happy to be known as 'son of.' '
His first Indy 500 victory was the closest finish in the race's history as he edged out Scott Goodyear by 0.043 seconds (about half a car length).
He started the Race Clinic for Paralysis charity (2010).
The prosecutor in the extortion case said that the video was not connected to the prostitution ring and that there was no evidence Unser was a client: 'I don’t think Little Al did anything wrong. For our purposes, he is listed as a victim.'
