When a Wire co-star called him, praising his portrayal of Omar Little's death, he refused to cry because he was in a car full of dudes at the time.

On his 25th birthday, his face was slashed by razor-wielding assailants.
Inspired by Seal, he used his facial scars as a trademark, and into a prolific acting career.
His intense portrayal as ethical 'homo thug' Omar Little on The Wire won countless raves.
USA Today declared him one of the reasons to still love TV (2004).
