Hockey Player
    (March 11, 1890-June 20, 1956)
    Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Defenseman for the Montreal Canadiens (1911–1917, 1921–1925), Ottawa Senators (1918–1921) and Boston Bruins (1925–1928)
    Nicknamed ‘Peg’
    Three Stanley Cups (1920, 1921, 1924)
Hockey Hall of Fame inductee (1958)
Died age 66 after being hit by a car
He used his sticks more frequently on opposing players than on the puck.
Prior to training camp, he broke his leg and got arrested on claims that he walloped his wife with a crutch (1917).
He wound up with 80 penalty minutes in his first season and 89 in his last — both huge numbers in the 1920s.
    He had a foul mouth.
He was the victim of a beautiful distraction when King Clancy tricked him into passing away the puck by shouting his name.
    He began as a forward.
He played during a time when enforcers had to be playmakers.
His younger brother had been with the Habs in one capacity or another since the inception of the franchise.
He used Clancy’s distractive tactic to deliver a five-knuckle sandwich en route to the dressing room.
