Why she might be annoying:

She had a nose job.
She was known by her first name.
Her mother named her Vera-Ellen, because she saw that name on a marquee in her dream before Vera-Ellen was born.
She was twice divorced.
When she died, her family found that much of her personal memorabilia was destroyed by mice and they rescued what they could.
However, later a flood destroyed much of that remaining memorabilia.

Why she might not be annoying:

She died at 60 of cancer.
She was a teenager when she became on of the youngest Rockettes.
Her child died of crib death.
