Baseball Player

The Resume

    (July 6, 1994- )
    Born in Newport News, Virginia
Second baseman for the Tampa Bay Rays
Attended the University of Maryland-College Park

Why he might be annoying:

He pronounces his surname L-AUW instead of L-OH.
He tore his ACL days before his freshman season, which caused him to be redshirted.
He broke his fibula two days before his draft day (2015).
He struggled to hit the ball for most of the Rays post-season run, prior to Game 2 of the World Series (2020).
He put way too much pressure on himself to succeed in the early stages of his career.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was voluntarily willing to play the outfield, despite his natural position being at second base.
He ended his playoff slump by recording two home runs in Game 2 of the 2020 World Series, which set a new record for most home runs recorded by a team in a single playoff.
He is the first Rays player and sixth second baseman in major league history to record two home runs in a World Series game.
He was considered one of baseball's underrated players, prior to his record setting game.
He maintained the trust of his manager Kevin Cash, and stayed in the Rays lineup largely on the strength of his defensive play during the Rays 2020 playoff run, maintaining his number 3 spot in the batting order.
