Why he might be annoying:

    His interview with 'Mad' publisher William M. Gaines coincided with a World Series game and Gaines allegedly offered to hire him if the Brooklyn Dodgers won the game.
    He created coloring books about John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan and Oliver North.
    He designed a group of characters known as the Frugies for the United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association and said, 'We expect the Frugies to do for fresh fruit and vegetables what the California Raisins did for dried fruit.'

Why he might not be annoying:

    He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Barbara Hellerman, for over 50 years.
    He holds the longest uninterrupted tenure of any 'Mad' artist.
    His 'Time' covers were added to the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery.
    He won the National Cartoonists Society Special Features Award four consecutive years (1985-88) and its Reuben Award as Cartoonist of the Year (1987).
