Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

Despite being a top three pick, he was traded by the Red Wings midway through his third season.
He often leaped in mid air upon scoring a goal, which became his trademark celebration.
Many hockey pundits coined the term 'The Foligno Leap' as a result.
He recorded 2,049 career penalty minutes.
He spent the bulk of his career on mediocre teams.

Why he might not be annoying:

He spent his formative years growing up in Italy, before returning to Canada where he took up playing hockey.
He was involved in a blockbuster deal that saw Sabres franchise players Danny Gare and Jim Schoenfeld traded to Detroit, in a move which saw him become a mainstay on the Sabres roster.
He scored the series overtime winner against the Red Wings, which he said was the biggest goal in his NHL career (1993).
Both his sons, Nick and Marcus followed in his footsteps and pursued NHL careers.
He got the opportunity to coach both his sons and care for his wife in their hometown of Sudbury, prior to her death.
