    He played 23 games with the Canadiens in a span of two seasons combined.
    He was traded by the North Stars in what later became known as one of the worst trades in franchise history at the time.
    His offensive productivity declined dramatically in the years following his 50 goal season.

    He came out of retirement to play a season with the AHL’s Fredericton Express.
    He was unable to translate his coaching success in the Canadian University ranks to the QMJHL, posting a 24-41-5 record with Halifax (1997-98).

    He played in the NHL All-Star Game for three consecutive seasons (1969-71).
    He made the North Stars look silly for trading him, after he recorded a 50 goal season in his first year with the Red Wings.
    He served as the Red Wings captain for the duration of his tenure with the team.
    He posted a 33-14-5 record in two years as the head coach of the men’s hockey team at the University of New Brunswick.
    He was inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame (2009).
