    Located south of Upper Klamath Lake in the Klamath Basin

    Originally called Linkville until 1893
    Politician Sharron Angle was born here.
    It has been among Oregon's worst places to find jobs.
    It was hit by a series of earthquakes; killing two people (September 20, 1993).
    They used to cut down so many trees until an owl was spotted in the late 1980s.
    In a nearby community located 30 miles east of here, five children and one woman were killed by a Japanese balloon bomb.
    It gained national attention as the Klamath Project irrigation water was shut off as it started controversial arguments between water rights and endangered species (2001).
    It has a golf course that was designed by Arnold Palmer.
    The Oregon Air National Guard's 173rd Fighter Wing is located at the Kingsley Field Air National Guard Base.
    Actress Brenda Bakke was born here.
    It is one of the popular places for bird watching.
    It tends to have more sunny days than other cities in Oregon.
    It is only located 50 miles north of Crater Lake National Park.
