Recorded the singles ‘No New Tale To Tell’ (1987) and ‘So Alive’ (1989)
    Reunited in 2007-08

Why they might be annoying:

They were originally intended to be a Bauhaus reunion, but lead singer Peter Murphy refused to participate.
Ash and Haskins sported gravity-defying 80s hairdos.
They formed a side project, the Bubblemen, for which they would dress in bee costumes while performing.
After the success of ‘So Alive’ and their eponymous album, they took an extended hiatus to work on solo projects, killing their career momentum.

Why they might not be annoying:

Despite being three-quarters of Bauhaus, they did not replicate that band’s goth sound.
They scored a much bigger hit than Bauhaus ever did, as ’So Alive’ hit #3 on Billboard’s Top 40, #1 on the Modern Rock Hits chart, and top 20 on the Dance Club Songs chart.
They lost much of their equipment when a fire broke out in the house they were staying at during the recording of ‘Sweet F.A.’
They reunited to play at a Joe Strummer memorial concert.
