Baseball Player
He disliked his birth name, and adopted the name 'Cito' from a Mexican wrestler.
    His playing career was uneventful.
He originally refused the Blue Jays managerial job.
At the 1993 MLB All-Star Game, he pissed off Oriole fans by not putting Oriole pitcher Mike Mussina in the game to pitch in front of the home crowd.
His teams productivity declined dramatically following the World Series victories.
Despite having impressive credentials, he was passed over for various managerial jobs before his second stint with the Jays.
He guided the Blue Jays to four playoff appearances in his first five seasons as the team's skipper.
He guided the Jays to being (prior to the 2005 season) the first Canadian based MLB franchise to win a World Series (1992).
He is the winningest manager in franchise history.
He accepted a second stint to become the Blue Jays manager, which was considered a popular move by the team's fanbase.
He is considered a legend in Canadian baseball.
