    Wrote ‘Resurrection Man’ (1936), ‘Manifest of a Young Man’ (1938), ‘Where Are We Going?’ (1957), ‘History of Azerbaijani Literature’ (1957-1960), and ‘People of the Same Age’ (1984)
    Died in Baku, Azerbaijan
    He studied at the same university Vladimir Lenin studied at.
    Most images of him on the Internet are rather small in dimension.
    Little is known about him.
    He was the grandfather of Azerbaijani first lady Mehriban Aliyeva.
    He wrote more than 50 books.
    One of his books, 'Dried Up in Meetings,' shows that a person can end up being out of touch with reality of family life if he or she is obsessed with something else.
    He poked fun at the Soviet bureaucracy even at the age of 12.
    His satirical notes also displayed the lack of personal development of the mind during the Soviet era.
    He didn’t get to witness the downfall of the Soviet Union.
