They were swept in their only NBA Finals appearance (1995).
They haven't done much since Shaquille O'Neal left them for the Lakers.
They were supposed to be good with the acquisitions of Hill and McGrady, but injuries haven't been kind to Hill or to the Magic.
Their mascot is Stuff the Magic Dragon.
Why they might not be annoying
They were Shaquille O'Neal's first team.
Scott Skiles set a record of 30 assists in a game while with the Magic (1991).
They made the NBA Finals in only their sixth season in the league.
They seem to get a lot of lottery luck, considering they get the first overall pick two straight years in the 1990's (one used on Shaq) and another first pick in 2004.
They play in one of the NBA's smallest markets.
