Why she might be annoying:

Besides a few articles for news publications, 'To Kill a Mockingbird' remained her only published work until the year prior to her death.
She's a descendant of American Civil War general Robert E. Lee.
Some people wondered if she was still alive, due to her never making any public appearances.
A controversial sequel to 'To Kill a Mockingbird,' 'Go Set a Watchman,' was published decades later.

Why she might not be annoying:

Her book, 'To Kill a Mockingbird,' is considered an American classic.
She may have only written one notable book, but she didn't use that one book constantly to get what she wanted, and prefered to be alone.
She was humble about the success of 'To Kill a Mockingbird.'
