His career was cut short by knee injuries.

He was found liable for $300,000 in unpaid child support.
He pled guilty to mail fraud and was sentenced to two months in jail (September 7, 2006).

He followed Bill Walton as the second person to be named College Player of the Year three times (1981-83).
