    Recorded the albums ‘Cracker’ (1992), ‘Kerosene Hat’ (1993), ‘The Golden Age’ (1996), ‘Gentleman’s Blues’ (1998), and ‘Sunrise in the Land of Milk and Honey’ (2009)
    Recorded the singles ‘Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)’ (1992), ‘Happy Birthday to Me’ (1992), ‘Low’ (1993), ‘Get Off This’ (1994), ‘Euro-Trash Girl’ (1994), ‘I Hate My Generation’ (1996), and ‘Nothing to Believe In’ (1996)

Why they might be annoying:

    Through 2020, the band has had eight drummers and seven bass guitarists.
    Lowery declared, ‘We’re not really alternative. We’re much weirder than alternative.’
    Their CD ‘Kerosene Hat’ contained 99 ‘tracks’ – most of them only a few seconds long and silent. (Along with other tracks consisting of snoring, sawing, or sound collages).
    Their fans call themselves ‘Crumbs.’

Why they might not be annoying:

    They have been called ‘alt-rock godfathers.’
    Lowery noted about the continuing popularity of songs like ‘Low,’ ‘I guess they’re seen as classic or something.’
    Lowery emerged as a spokesperson for artists’ rights in the digital age, including testifying before the House Judiciary Committee.
    They toured entertaining US soldiers in Iraq (2009).
