Why he might be annoying:

He was known as being stiff and reserved.
Three years after his wife died, he married her niece and they had a daughter.
He lost the popular vote to Grover Cleveland by over 90,000 votes but won the electoral vote 233-168 (1892).
His 53rd congress was the first congress to spend a billion dollars (1891-93).
His final daughter was younger than his four grandchildren.
His wife Caroline was the first president of 'The Daughters of American Revolution.' The D.A.R. later fell into disfavor when they refused to allow Marian Anderson to perform because she was African-American.
He looks like Sebastian Cabot (Mr. French on 'Family Affair').

He is the only President to succeed and proceed presidency Grover Cleveland).
During his administration, North and South Dakota, Montana, Washington, Idaho and Wyoming entered the Union (States number 38-44).
