    Her persecution clearly shows the complete absence of religious freedom in Eritrea.
    Why would she escape from a country (Eritrea) that routinely persecutes Christians to another country (Sudan) that also persecutes Christians?
    She remains devout to her religion no matter the circumstance.
    The church she’s affiliated faces heavy persecution from the Eritrean government.
    During her imprisonment in a cargo container, she had to endure the denial of medical care and communication to her, extreme heat and cold, and overcrowded conditions.
    Amnesty International, along with many Christian and human rights groups, denounced her imprisonment and demanded her release.
    After her release, she had to use crutches and wheelchairs to move.
