The Resume

    (August 9, 1946-June 19, 2020)
Born in Lincoln Park, New Jersey
Running back for the Miami Dolphins (1968-74), Memphis Southmen (1975), Denver Broncos (1976-77), and Washington Redskins (1977)
    2 time AFL All-Star (1968-69)
Died from CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) related dementia

Why he might be annoying:

His name looks like the ‘i’ key got stuck.
He admitted to being lazy and anti-intellectual, saying ‘I stopped growing mentally at 17.’
He was chosen for the 1968 College All-Star Game but did not get to play as he showed up out of shape and coach Norm Van Brocklin benched him for having a bad attitude.
He did not report to training camp during contract negotiations with the Dolphins (1971).
He wanted to join his friend Larry Csonka with the New York Giants, but coach Bill Arnsparger refused, as he considered Kiick a bad influence (1976).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was named MVP of the Sun Bowl (1966).
During the 1971 and 1972 seasons, he was the only player ranked in the top 15 in both receptions and rushing yardage.
He played with a broken toe, a broken finger, a hip pointer, and a bruised elbow that swelled up to nearly twice its normal size. (Note: that was all in the same game.)
Coach Don Shula said no one was better in clutch situations.
He scored the touchdown that provided the margin of victory in the Dolphins’ 14-7 win over the Redskins in Super Bowl VII, capping the team’s perfect 17-0 season.
On the same day that he was released from the Broncos, his house burned down and his wife filed for divorce.
