    Host of 'Beat the Clock' (1972-1974)
    Died of lung cancer at the age of 78
    He did TV commercial work during his early career.
    He was the host for the short-lived game show, 'Anything You Can Do.'
    Some of the game shows he announced were short lived.
    Like Johnny Olson, most of the game shows he announced were produced by Mark Goodson and Bill Todman.
    He had degrees in speech and theater.
    He wrote TV episodes for 'Captain Kangaroo.'
    He was an interim announcer of 'The Price is Right' (hosted by Bob Barker) prior to Rod Roddy becoming the official announcer of the show.
    He was married to his wife Carleen Anderson Wood for 44 years until his death.
    He was the original announcer of 'Family Feud.'
