    He wrote an Emily Dickinson style poem, ‘Gardenias,’ about the death of his lover Roger.
    Most of his stories involve homosexuality.
    He wrote novel versions of numerous films including 'Predator' and 'Scarface.'
    His surviving partner, father, and brother are appointed trustees of the Monette Horwitz Trust.
    He died from AIDS complications at the age of 40.
