Baseball Player

The Resume

    (October 7, 1992- )
    Born in Nashville, Tennessee
Birth name is Markus Lynn Betts
Outfielder for the Boston Red Sox
    American League MVP (2018)
    World Series champion (2018)

Why he might be annoying:

He claims his parents named him Markus Lynn so his initials would be similar to that of Major League Baseball.
His nickname was ripped off from Mookie Blaylock.
He rescinded his commitment to the University of Tennessee when he was offered a contract by the Red Sox.
Despite being groomed as a middle infielder, he was forced to the outfield in Boston after Dustin Pedroia signed a long-term extension with the club.
He admitted to getting emotionally sensitive at the subject of dead animals and the sight of roadkill.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is an avid bowling enthusiast.
He was the first player in the history of the American League to win the Silver Slugger, Gold Glove, batting title, and MVP awards, along with being a member of a World Series championship team in a single season (2018).
He set an American League record for consecutive games without a strikeout.
He is the second player in the history of the Red Sox to record 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases.
His hustle and style of play made him a fan favorite in Boston (and erase the bad memories of the other Mookie who haunted Red Sox fans since 1986).
