    Kathy, the lead singer, left in 1992 to go solo (so much for family).
    'We Are Family' (#1 R&B, #2 Pop) and 'He's The Greatest Dancer' (#1 R&B, #9 Pop) were huge disco hits in 1979.
    'We Are Family' was adopted by the Pittsburgh Pirates as their 1979 championship season theme song.
    They appeared on 'The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson' (November 1979).
    They were featured in an episode of 'The Jeffersons' (March 1984).
    'Frankie' was a big international song and hit #1 on the U.K. pop chart (1985).
    They sang and worked well as loving sisters.
