Football Player
    (November 22, 1990- )
    Born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
    Brock Alan Osweiler
    Quarterback
Played for Arizona State University (2008-2012)
    Wears #17
Selected with the 57th overall pick in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos
    Super Bowl 50 Champion, 2-time AFC champion (2013, 2015)
AFC Offensive Player of the Week (Week 11, 2015)
Signed a four-year, $72 million contract with the Houston Texans (Mar. 9, 2016)
He pretty much became Peyton Manning's version of Jimmy Garoppolo.
Fans have gushed over the observation that he looks like Edward Cullen from the Twilight series.
He is known for playing in sleeves even in warm weather when he teammates wear short sleeves.
This is allegedly out of embarrassment that a tattoo on his Right arm, meant to read 'live life to its fullest,' reads 'live life to it is fullest.'
He has the tendency to openly pout when he is sidelined (his reaction to being denied snap-time during a 2014 blowout game against the Raiders went viral on YouTube).
He was built up as Peyton Manning's presumptive successor when Manning was benched mid-season in 2015.
Prior to his star-making performance against the Patriots, he had had completed only 17 career NFL passes.
Much of his success during his time with the Broncos has been attributed to the luck of having a debut coincide with a period when the Broncos defense had attained near perfection.
His general lack of experience is believed to have led to his choking with a 12-15 loss to the Raiders, paving the way for Manning to reclaim his starting QB status.
When Manning won out with team leadership and regained the starting QB position, images of a disgruntled, benched Osweiler on the sidelines became a popular internet meme.
He waited until after Manning had publicly announced his NFL retirement before parting ways with the Broncos for a contract with the Texans (allegedly not even waiting for management to match the Texans' offer).
In the days following the announcement, stories were leaked that he had been largely noncommittal to his position with the team, frequently not returning phone calls in the weeks prior to his leaving. John Elway took a veiled shot at his departure by stating that they preferred players who 'want to be Denver Broncos' and who 'want to be here.'
He played both football and basketball as a student.
He committed to playing basketball at Gonzaga University, but eventually opted to play football for Arizona State University.
He was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his 17–15 win against the Chicago Bears (2015).
He became the first player to ever start his first career game, while winning, completing 20 out of his 27 passes with two touchdowns, fittingly on his 25th birthday.
He was instrumental in stopping the New England Patriots' seemingly inevitable march to an undefeated 2015-2016 season.
He was named one of the NFLPA's community MVPs last year for his volunteer work at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children (2014).
His height has become the object of national obsession among sports aficionados (at nearly 6'8 he is one of the tallest players in both Broncos history and NFL history as a whole).
If rumors are true that Manning was forced out in favor of a younger, fresher face for the franchise - then, holy crap, if executive management didn't shoot itself in the foot!
Through the whole of his Broncos career, he never spoke ill of Peyton Manning (at least publicly), saying: 'Peyton displays how to be the ultimate pro every single day and I am a better football player today because of my time spent with him.'
TMZ footage released showed him wisely choosing to walk away from a heated confrontation between himself and a fan attempting to provoke a physical altercation (Mar. 7, 2016).
