    Recorded the albums 'Rappin with the Ladies' (1988), 'As Raw As Ever' (1991), 'Rough and Ready Volume 1' (1992), 'X-Tra Naked' (1993), 'Rough and Ready Volume 2' (1993), 'A Mi Shabba' (1995) and 'Shabba Ranks and Friends' (1999)
    Recorded the singles 'Housecall' (with Maxi Priest, 1991) 'Mr. Loverman' (1992), 'Slow and Sexy' (with Johnny GIll, 1992), 'I Was A King' (with Eddie Murphy, 1993), 'What'cha Gonna Do' (with Queen Latifah, 1993), 'Family Affair' (1993) and 'Let's Get It On' (1995)
    He began recording as 'Co-Pilot' before changing his name to Shabba Ranks.
    He frequently shouts 'Shabba!' during his songs.
    His video for 'Mr. Loverman' was parodied on In Living Color as 'Mr. Uglyman.'
    Several of his songs have homophobic lyrics.
    In an interview on the British TV program 'The Word' he said homosexuals should be crucified.
    He was the most successful dancehall artist internationally.
    He won back to back Grammys for Best Reggae Album.
    He apologized for his crucifixion remarks.
